Approximately 70% of the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum is accessible to wheelchair users. Many areas of the collection are wheelchair accessible via ramps and lifts, but not all can be accessed directly. Our guards will be happy to help you.
A ramp permitting access to the main interior stairway is available in the courtyard to the right of the main entrance. Visitors can contact the porter’s lodge via intercoms at the main entrance and at the ramp. A stair lift links the ground floor and lower ground floor.
Because of different floor levels on the lower ground floor (east and west wings) and on the ground floor not all galleries can be accessed by wheelchair users.
The following collections are accessible by wheelchair
First Floor
Ground Floor
Lower Ground Floor
Our guards are available if you have any further questions.
