Preventive Conservation and Site Management

This section t is responsible for improving climate stability and light protection in the exhibition halls and the museum’s stores, as well as for detecting pollutants and mitigating them through appropriate measures. Since the building structure and fit out have a strong influence on the artwork environment, the position of Preventive Conservation in the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum is coupled with the function of Site Management.
