The Elector Palatine Johann Wilhelm.

The Elector Palatine Johann Wilhelm (1658–1716) was one of the most passionate patrons of the arts and collectors of the Wittelsbach dynasty around 1700. The Bayerisches Nationalmuseum houses precious items from his extensive Düsseldorf collections, including ivories and bronzes. In addition to works by court artists who worked exclusively for the prince, other masterpieces came into his possession as gifts.
