Description
This imposing grille was once part of the baroque decoration of the gothic Dominican church St Blaise in Regensburg. Richly decorated with foliage and strapwork, the gates and side portions separated the nave from the monks' choir. The cresting is decorated with 15 medallions with scenes from the lives of Jesus and Mary, as well as symbols of the Dominican Order and of the Catholic Church.
