Masterpieces of bronze sculpture

German guided tour.

The splendid collection of Renaissance and Mannerist bronzes is at the centre of the tour. It includes inventions by Michelangelo, precious bronzes by Giambologna, the Medici court sculptor, as well as works by Hubert Gerhard and Adriaen de Vries. Among other subjects, themes from mythology and the Passion of Christ are presented.
