The central picture from the high altar in the former Franciscan church in Munich is a multi-figure Crucifixion represented against a sweeping background. The doubly hinged wings only are decorated exclusively with scenes from the Passion Cycle. Below the picture of Christ being scourged while bearing the Cross are portraits of the donors with their coats of arms: Albrecht IV, Duke of Bavaria, and his wife, Kunigunde of Austria.
