Access
The library is open to the public as a non-circulating reference library. A reading-room with power outlets for laptop computers and a photocopying machine are available. The library can be accessed by appointment only, please contact us via telephone or email. Before making an appointment, visitors are encouraged to consult the online catalogue to search the collection.
Role of the library
The library of the Bavarian National Museum is a specialized research library. Its role is to compliment the museum’s collections and to provide material for research on these collections. The library supports the research activities of the Museum staff; in addition, it welcomes researchers and students.
